Disappointing

  : The flat is near Haymarket station, you can see it from the rear window. Also, it’s close the city centre and tram stop. There are lots of shops for groceries, like co-op and a European shop. The size of the kitchen and living room was good.
  : Check in is very complicated and they kept sending me messages that says they wouldn’t allow me in if I arrive late then asked for £75! We were anxious during our travel as we experienced problem with the car and didn’t even stop to have rest. They claimed that they don’t have a reception desk but there are an office where you go and collect keys. The host could simply use a lock box to store the keys for peaceful and smooth self check-in. They kept sending me messages and calls during my stay to go to the office while I was visiting the city for one day as they said it’s weekend and they don’t work late. The person on the reception desk during the check out was rude and shouted at me as he asked for extra money than the one written ob Booking.com. They basically ruined my visit to Edinburgh and wouldn’t go back there. The flat didn’t have any carpet in the living room and lots of cupboards on bedrooms and beds were not comfortable you seemed to sink in the bed. I didn’t like the noise from the station.

  : Bedrooms are on small size. But living area was roomy and nice to have a dining table.

  : Location was great, with a short walk to Haymarket train station. Also a cab rank nearby. Apartment was spacious with a good kitchen and reasonably comfortable living room. Beds were comfortable.
  : Apartment was a bit tired, especially the bathrooms. A few small things could be fixed without much fuss like the towel rail and a lick of paint wouldn't go amiss.Shower was a conundrum to get the correct temperature. A small instruction manual for these things would be great.

  : I need to find out how to complain about this rental. When I booked it the booking had a picture and description of an apartment with THREE bedrooms. The apartment we were given was a different one with only two bedrooms... which was not acceptable for us. They put two put-you-up beds in the living room, but that was not our idea of a holiday. Since we were traveling as a family, with limited time, and Edinburgh was totally full, we had no option but to stay. The check-in man said it was nothing to do with him, it was Booking.com. TERRIBLE service and most upsetting for our stay. Also, I can find no way to complain to Booking.com. Please note, that the man gave us the property keys on arrival, but did not accompany us to the property. The whole experience was a bad reflection on Booking.com.
